This continuing education activity is designed to provide knowledge and skills needed to accurately interpret ECG readings. There is a significant gap in this skillset which results in missed or delayed diagnosis, as well as increased health care costs due to many unnecessary diagnostic tests being ordered.

    October 15 - 17, 2024 - The Scott Resort & Spa - Scottsdale, Arizona This course offers Live (in-person) and Livestream (virtual) attendance options This hybrid conference will be held Oct. 15–17, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and will provide reviews and updates about the laboratory and clinical aspects of nonmalignant hematology and bleeding and thrombotic disorders. Combining the clinical and laboratory experience of Mayo Clinic faculty, we will illustrate the practical application of testing algorithms derived from the Mayo Clinic practice as well as highlight available tests to guide the diagnosis of rare disorders of classical hematology. Informational presentations will be supplemented with case presentations, followed by time for participant questions.

    October 15, 2024 - Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota This In-person, one-day, multidisciplinary, interactive course will provide an introduction to simulation-based education. Topics discussed include principles of experiential learning, planning a simulation course, writing and implementing scenarios, and debriefing strategies. Participants also have opportunities to practice scenario writing and debriefing with the guidance of experienced faculty. Enrollment is limited to encourage discussion between attendees.
