Presenter Bio:
Dr. Margaret Paulson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She has experience in providing care across the spectrum of Internal Medicine including outpatient and inpatient settings, nursing home, home health and correctional medicine. She currently practices as a rural hospitalist in the Mayo Clinic Health System in the Northwest Wisconsin (NWWI) region and is Medical Director for Home Health in NWWI. In 2019, she became the Medical Director for NWWI in the exciting establishment of Mayo Clinic’s Advanced Care at Home (ACH) program, an innovative platform offering hospital-level care in the home. The launch of ACH allowed Dr. Paulson to call upon her experience to expand high quality telemedicine in transformational ways for Mayo Clinic by pairing in-person and virtual teams. Through ACH, she has led numerous healthcare delivery innovations focused on sustainability in the rural home hospital, particularly through leveraging technology and AI solutions for improved patient experience and efficient care delivery.
