Learning Objectives - Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the concept of shared risk factors between atrial fibrillation and stroke
  • Review the results of trials of subclinical AF and Stroke and the lack of a clear temporal association
  • Emphasize current gaps in our knowledge of the role of oral anticoagulants in the treatment of subclinical AF
