LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the clinical important of chronic liver diseases worldwide as well as their etiological factors and natural history of cirrhosis and liver cancer.
  • List the main risk factors related to development of chronic liver diseases.
  • Describe non-invasive methods for assessment of liver fibrosis and their potential use for early diagnosis of hidden liver fibrosis in the population.
