Pharmacy Achievements:
Garrett has demonstrated a high level of excellence in pharmacy education, research, and practice through various leadership roles. As Senior Director at Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development, Garrett oversees development and delivery of over 425 national and international continuing education courses annually. Garrett previously served as Mayo Clinic’s Director of Pharmacy Education and Academic Affairs, leading the growth of pharmacy experiential training programs and overseeing numerous postgraduate pharmacy residency programs. Garrett's contributions to MSHP include serving as President, Board Member at Large, member and chair of several committees, and co-founding member of the FMSHP recognition program. Garrett has received several awards, including MSHP’s Hugh Kabat Award, the Mayo Clinic Excellence in Leadership Award, Fellowships in ASHP and ACCP, the Outstanding Educator Award plus the Preceptor of the Year Award from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences. Additionally, Garrett has been actively involved in other pharmacy organizations, serving as chair and member of the ASHP Council on Education and Workforce Development, a site coordinator and faculty for the ASHP Foundation Critical Care Traineeship, and a member of the South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy Dean’s Advisory Council.
