DESCRIPTION
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Tumor Board is a case- based activity that includes discussion of two to three cases. The speakers are hematologists from Mayo Clinic Arizona with expertise in Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, or related diseases. The Leukemia and Lymphoma multidisciplinary team has an increasing role in the management of hematologic malignancies. The team has the potential to improve patient care and the health system through discussion of complex cases, increasing the medical knowledge and communication among different providers. The cases are offered in virtual format, slide-based, faculty led presentations on the 4th Thursday of each month, from 12-1pm.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended primarily for allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, physician assistants, residents, fellows, and scientists.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Implement optimal treatment for Leukemia and Lymphoma patients.
- Utilize multidisciplinary approach to determine diagnosis and treatment options.
- Determine the plan of care for Hematologic Malignancy patients.
