DESCRIPTION
Monthly educational didactic series on core topics in Psychiatry and Psychology addressing recent scientific advancements, evolving standards of care and case-based learning.  Features a variety of speakers from within the Mayo Clinic in Arizona Department of Psychiatry and Psychology as well as outside speakers.  

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is primarily physician, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, and fellows. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define the impact of different personality styles of physicians on burnout.
  • Describe prolonged exposure therapy for the treatment of posttraumatic distress disorder and how it can be implemented in the primary care setting.
  • Analyze the evidence for the effectiveness of alternative techniques for diagnosing ADHD and cognitive impairment.
