This continuing medical education conference focuses on the needs of advanced practice providers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, ARNPs (APRN), and nurses regarding the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic malignancies. This course features lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, and interactive group discussions.

Limited scholarships are available for this educational event for the following: NP Student, PA Student, newly graduated NP/PA students, Medical Student, Hem Onc Resident, Fellow, or Nurse (special emphasis on disease specifics/Hematology/Multiple Myeloma/BMT nurses). Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the current treatment options for breast cancer and lung cancer.
  • Review the challenges in the management of myelodysplastic disease, multiple myeloma and leukemia.
  • Describe the current challenges in patient accrual to cancer clinical trials.
  • Review the diagnosis of hematologic malignancy and its implications on treatment.
  • Review the immunotherapy ocular toxicities and management.
  • Discuss the challenges and solutions of taking care of patients with diverse backgrounds.
