DESCRIPTION
NWWI Professional Development Grand Rounds at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Northwest Wisconsin is a monthly interactive educational series devoted to improving teaching, leadership, and scholarly activity skills of providers involved in clinical teaching and other leadership activities. Sessions are held the 4th Friday of each month from 7 am - 8 am via virtual meeting platforms (such as Zoom) or in the Luther Building Auditorium in Eau Claire. 
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for physicians, nurse, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, resident fellows, pharmacists, and students.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify methods to orient learners.
  • Review strategies to establish a positive, safe learning environment.
  • Identify tools to facilitate discussion among learners.
  • Review how to provide effective learner-centered coaching.
  • Identify how to formulate feedback verbally and in writing.
