DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this activity is to inform and educate providers and allied health staff on organizational patient safety activities. Topics will focus on identified knowledge gaps such as lack of understanding of psychological safety and best practices to prevent medication errors, for example. Each grand rounds may feature patient cases and/or multi-disciplinary approach to reduce harm and promote patient safety. Our intent is to engage staff to create better culture of safety and close identified knowledge gaps. 
The fifth Friday of every month from 7:00-8:00 a.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Allied Health Professional, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Physician Assistant

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify proactive strategic initiatives and their implementation.
  • Describe how a collaborative approach to patient care can help reduce patient harm.
  • Describe how to promote a culture of psychological safety in our workplace.

Each session may also provide it's own objectives.
