DESCRIPTION
This multidisciplinary committee meets every other month to review trauma patient cases for purposes of event identification, practice engagement, and process improvement to ensure quality patient outcomes.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Resident Fellows.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, presenters should be able to:
- Identify orthopedic open fractures during trauma resuscitation phase of care.
- Prescribe timely antibiotics based on injury and fracture.
- Record trauma surgeon response to the Emergency Department from highest level activation.
- Evaluate management of care of the trauma patient.
