October 24 - 25, 2024 - Unity Point/Iowa Methodist Medical Center - Des Moines, Iowa
October 24th will be designated for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners only to address the specific learning needs of this group. Then October 25th will be tailored to meet the needs of nurses and all healthcare professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of tuberculosis.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
Day 1: Thursday, October 24
- Identify diagnostic strategies for the detection of M. tuberculosis.
- Recognize appropriate treatment plans for TB disease and Latent TB infection.
- Identify unique considerations for children with TB.
Day 2 : Friday, October 25
- Identify diagnostic strategies for the detection of M. tuberculosis.
- Recognize appropriate treatment plans for TB disease and Latent TB infection.
- Identify unique considerations for children with TB.
- Recognize treatment challenges for TB patients with diabetes.
- Recall strategies for managing adverse drug reactions in TB patients
- Recognize appropriate treatment plans for latent TB infection.
