PRESENTER BIO
Erik K. St. Louis, M.D., M.S., is Professor of Neurology and Medicine and Associate Director for Education in the Biomedical Ethics Research Program, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, and Science in Rochester, and Research Chair for Wisconsin, Mayo Clinic Health System. His research interests include sleep, neurodegeneration and cognition, and epilepsy under support of several federal and other funding sources including the NIH. He has authored over 200 original articles, 3 books, and 40 book chapters. Dr. St. Louis currently serves on several editorial and organizational boards.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Demonstrate the concepts of prodromal and manifest neurodegenerative disorders, and that the model of human isolated REM sleep behavior disorder represents an early form of Lewy body disease in most older adults.
- Consider provider practices and perspectives concerning prognostic counseling in REM sleep behavior disorder.
- Adopt pragmatic counseling approaches for patients with prodromal neurological disorders.
