Clinical Research Education Series (3rd Quarter): Hematology Clinical Research with Cecilia Arana Yi, M.D.
Cecilia Arana Yi, MD, MSHS is a board-certified Hematologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She is a Director of Leukemia Program specializing in Myeloid Neoplasms and Systemic Mastocytosis. She received her medical degree from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. She completed Hematology/oncology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, and Leukemia Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She joined Mayo Clinic in 2020. During her tenure she developed a thriving clinical practice, expanded clinical trial portfolio in Leukemia and Mastocytosis, and introduced a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of Mast Cell disorders.
Dr. Arana Yi is a member of Mayo Clinic Arizona Myeloid Malignancy Disease Group and Education Committee. Dr. Arana Yi is a recognized researcher and educator in myeloid neoplasms.
