This is Mayo Clinic's 9th Melanoma and Skin Cancer Education Symposium. This half day educational event is designed for physicians, healthcare professionals, survivors, patients, and caregivers who are interested in exploring the essential health issues surrounding melanoma. The symposium is offered virtually via live streaming. It focuses on updates for current therapies, wellness strategies, and mindfulness and resilience while living with cancer.

Target Audience

This course is designed for patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals who are focused on the prevention, treatment, and survivorship of people with melanoma.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the current standards of care for surgical, radiation, and medical therapy of malignant melanoma surgical.
  • Identify innovative research in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma (clinical trials).
  • Review nutritional needs for cancer patients.
