Bio

Eric Humphrey BSN, RN, CCRN is the manager of the Intensive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He started with Mayo Clinic in Florida in 1999 as a Nursing Assistant while completing his nursing degree. He worked in transplant units focused on liver and kidney, then heart and lung. He transferred to the multispecialty ICU at MCA in 2004, where he worked as a bedside nurse for over a decade, then as a team leader. He gained experience in many areas of critical care and served as a Rapid Response Nurse and RN ECMO Specialist. He became a supervisor in 2016 and has been manager since 2022.

Tracy Thomas is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) in the Intensive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Nursing for Clinical Nurse Specialist degree from Grand Canyon University. She is working on her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Innovation Leadership from Arizona State University. Tracy has worked in critical care nursing since 2005 at various organizations across Arizona, including the Veterans Administration, Dignity Health, and Honor Health. Her experience includes critically ill adult patients facing medical, surgical, transplant, neurology, and neurotrauma conditions. Additionally, Tracy has served on multiple committees as a nursing clinical practice expert with the Donor Network of Arizona, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
