The Gastroenterology for the Hospitalist course will provide didactic offerings to hospital practitioners focusing on common GI diseases and situations encountered in the inpatient setting. It is geared towards hospitalists and advance practice providers needing to consult gastroenterologists on patients with GI and liver diseases, such as GI bleeding, nutrition, inflammatory bowel diseases, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) patients, pancreatitis, cirrhosis, and acute diverticulitis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize recent practice changes in the management of acute pancreatitis
  • Identify key management recommendations for patients hospitalized with acute diverticulitis
  • Describe available diagnostic and treatment options for patients hospitalized with lower GI bleeding

The Joseph Hotel is offering hotel rooms for attendees and their guests at the group rate of $275.00 per night, plus applicable taxes. Reservations must be made by January 30, 2025, before the room block is filled, whichever comes first. The $34 resort fee has been waived for course attendees.

There is limited guest room availability at the special rate; extended reservations are based on availability. The standard hotel reservation cancellation policy will apply to all reservations.

The Joseph is in the heart of SoBro allowing for easy, comfortable access to Nashville's varied arts and entertainment venues. Spend a day at Frist Art Museum near our hotel, take in a show at Ryman Auditorium or an orchestral performance at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. You can be certain there is no dearth of classical entertainment nearby when you stay at The Joseph, Nashville.
