Bio: Gina Piscitello, MD, MS, is Assistant Professor in the Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics at the University of Pittsburgh. She is medical director of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital’s palliative consult service and works clinically on the inpatient palliative consult service and outpatient palliative clinic for patients with lung, liver, and neurological disease. She is interested in research at the intersection of clinical medical ethics and palliative medicine, including disparities in clinician-patient communication, do-not-resuscitate orders, ECMO, and scarce resource allocation.
