Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:  

• Describe the responses from different healthcare systems to major disasters.  

• Prepare the CCM physician to provide triage, stabilization, clinical management, teamwork leadership and managing hospital resources.  

• Analyze the characteristics of different disasters and predict their impact on the healthcare system.  

• Produce participation in the local disaster planning process which will improve the appropriate response by the critical care physician to disaster situations.
