TITLE: Conversation and Insights Fueled by Five Current Articles on Emergency Point-of-Care Ultrasound
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the current landscape of this resource availability to patients; furthermore, learners will match those resources with what we offer in our emergency department.
- Practice using ultrasound clinically for shoulder when they feel it is applicable.
- Perform ultrasound of the gallbladder and distinguish the features of the acute cholecystitis.
- Recognize and interpret a cardiac ultrasound for tamponade.
- Examine their patients who have undifferentiated dyspnea using cardiopulmonary POCUS modeled after research from Dr Zare et als recent randomized prospective diagnostic trial published on the topic.
- Summarize the strengths and weaknesses of the literature for each of the above objectives while also achieving those objectives.
