This three-and-a-half-day continuing medical education course provides a multidisciplinary update in prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, management, and treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases, and high risk and survivorship issues. The course has multidisciplinary experts in their field presenting the latest, diagnostic, treatment and management options. Highlights include, genetics and high-risk management, breast imaging modalities, supplemental screening options for dense breasts, and more.
Target Audience
This course is designed for primary care providers, oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, gynecologists, and advanced practice providers who diagnose and treat patients with breast cancer.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe breast cancer risk stratification
- Identify management options for lobular neoplasia
- Recognize oncoplastic surgical options
- Summarize current breast cancer challenges in disparate populations
- Review updates in the management of early breast cancer
- Describe menopausal hormone therapy in breast cancer survivors
- Review surveillance imaging in high-risk breast lesions
- Summarize multidisciplinary management of metastatic breast cancer
- Recognize role of minimally invasive surgery

The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is offering hotel rooms for attendees beginning at the group rate of $269 per night plus applicable taxes and an optional resort fee of $32/night. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made online via a provided link. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
