DESCRIPTION
A weekly clinical case conference interfacing the disciplines of neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and other related specialties (e.g. epilepsy) in which all patients presenting with tumors and related lesions are discussed for multi-modality cancer care of the central and peripheral nervous system. Conference discussions have a direct impact on subsequent patient care decisions and activities.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, residents, fellows, and scientists.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify patients that would benefit from multi-modality therapy.
- Draw a plan of care that includes surgical and non-surgical options for patients with brain and spine tumors.
