Oncology Nursing Core Curriculum
This online CNE nursing curriculum provides core knowledge of Oncology concepts, including an overview of cancer, diagnostic evaluation, goals of treatment, medications, chemotherapy administration, nutrition, cancer distress, ethics, genomics, effects of tobacco use, palliative care, content on disease sites, and survivorship. Many of the modules include case scenarios applicable to any practice setting. This content meets the criteria for the Commission on Cancer (CoC) Standard 4.2 Oncology Nursing Credentials.

This online CNE nursing curriculum is designed for nurses caring for oncology patients throughout their cancer journey.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the role of the nurse in caring for oncology patients.
- Identify treatment options for cancer care.
- Outline psychosocial factors associated with oncology care.
