DESCRIPTION
Regional based case review of identified M&M cases or self presented interesting cases.  There is an overview of the case as well as identifying areas of improvements as well as educational pearls.  Sessions are held on the 4th Thursday.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended primarily for Emergency Medicine, Physicians and NP/PAs.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Utilize the most appropriate labs and radiologic studies for our emergency medicine population.  
  • Identify “red flags” in common presenting conditions that merit further workup. 
  • Identify variability in practice for workup and treatment of emergent conditions.  
  • Identify “systems issues” that lead to morbidity or inefficiency in ED care.
