As breast cancer care is evolving so rapidly, it is challenging for providers to distinguish the noise from what may be truly practice changing. Get an up to date look from Mayo Clinic innovators and early adopters of promising new advances that can be incorporated into practice today, as well as a view into exciting innovations on the near horizon.

Target Audience

This course is designed for primary care providers, oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, gynecologists, and advanced practice providers who diagnose and treat patients with breast cancer.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize new PET tracer agents for breast cancer
  • Describe how breast cancer receptor status can change with treatment
  • Demonstrate how the ultrasound twinkling artifact can be incorporated into practice
